About Norbern Electronics Inc.
Norbern Electronics was incorporated in the state of Colorado in 1988.
Owned by Norm and Toni Bernicky of Colorado Springs.
In 1989 Norbern Electronics received the Innovations Award at the
International Summer Consumer Electronics Show held at Las Vegas
for a product Norm invented called Cam-Tunes. Cam-Tunes is a microphone accessory used
by camcorders to record background music from a Walkman cassette while shooting video.
Sales of Cam-Tunes was discontinued in 1991 due to cheap imitations from Japan.
In 1992 Norbern Electronics purchased the assets of Fisher Electronics Co. located at
317 N. Swope, Colorado Springs. Fisher Electronics served Colorado for 22 years as a
warranty repair center for 120 consumer electronic manufactures. Their service manual
library exceeded 40,000 manuals. Their parts inventory was huge. Test equipment for 5 work stations.
These assets greatly aided our repair capabilities.
Norbern Electronics was awarded "Diamond Servicer" status by BOSE for the year 2001.
Only a handful of service centers in the USA achieve this rating.
It is an overall rating of customer satisfaction and repair quality.
